GlassPrint that is the ceramic printer process, is currently the most modern technology in glass painting.
During the process, a special printer applies ceramic based paint onto the surface of the glass, which is followed by heat processing. Due to the tempering process at 660° C, the printed image burns into the glass surface. As a result, the glass and the ceramic-based paint fuse, making it more resistant to external effects. The pattern on the glass surface cannot be scraped off and does not react to acidic or mechanical effects.
With this method the smallest printable glass size is 380×380mm, however, the largest printable glass surface can be up to 2400 × 4800 millimeters. As for color, unlike in the case of spray, roller or screen painting where the common RAL color scale is used, we use the CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) colors generally associated with modern printers. The exclusivity of this process is further indicated by the special ceramic paint of the GlassPrinter, since the CMYK base colors are supplemented with Green (G) and White (W). Thus, the colors used for printing photos or vector images are gained by mixing these six base colors (CMYK + GW).
